Version 1.6, effective 13 October 2026
This policy lists every cookie SkeduloX sets, and the other information it keeps on your device, and why. It forms part of our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 ("POPIA").
1. The short version
1.1 SkeduloX uses essential cookies only. They keep you signed in, protect your forms against forgery, and remember that you have seen our cookie notice. Without them you cannot sign in.
1.2 We do not use advertising, analytics or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not let other companies set cookies on our pages.
1.3 Our fonts are served from our own servers, so loading a page does not send your IP address to a font provider.
1.4 We count visits to our public pages on our own server, without cookies and without storing IP addresses. Section 8.4 of our Privacy Policy explains how.
1.5 Because these cookies are needed to provide the service you asked for, we rely on section 11(1)(b) and (f) of POPIA (performing our agreement with you, and our legitimate interest in keeping accounts secure) rather than on consent. If we ever add a cookie that is not essential, we will ask for your consent first, and you will be able to refuse it.
2. Cookies we set
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
skedulox_session |
Keeps you signed in on our main pages and remembers what you entered in a form between pages. | 2 hours after your last activity |
stackbou_tenant_ followed by your workspace name |
The same as above, separately for each workspace you sign in to. | 2 hours after your last activity |
XSRF-TOKEN |
A security token that proves a form was sent from our own pages, which blocks cross-site request forgery. | The same as your session |
remember_tenant_... |
Only if you tick Remember me: keeps you signed in on that device. | Until you sign out, or up to 400 days |
skedulox_cookie_notice |
Remembers that you have seen the cookie notice, so it does not appear on every page. | 12 months |
3. Information kept on your device (not cookies)
The SkeduloX app also stores some information in your browser's own storage. It stays on your device and is not used to track you.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Job cards captured without signal, and unfinished job card drafts | So work done in a plant room or basement is not lost, and is sent automatically when the connection is back. Removed once sent. |
| Display preferences, such as whether the menu is open or how a list is shown | So the app looks the way you left it. |
| A device identifier on shared tablets set up in Tablet mode | So your company's tablet stays registered to your workspace. |
| People who set up quick PIN sign-in on this device: their name and a random device token, never a password or PIN | So they can sign in with their PIN on a shared device. |
4. Payments
When you pay, you are sent to PayFast to enter your card details. PayFast is a separate company and sets its own cookies under its own policy. We never see or store your full card number.
5. Controlling cookies
5.1 You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, you will not be able to sign in to SkeduloX.
5.2 You can delete the information described in section 3 by clearing your browser's site data for app.skedulox.co.za. Do this only once any job cards captured offline have been sent.
5.3 You can see the cookie notice again at any time through Cookie settings at the bottom of our home page and of each legal page.
6. Changes and contact
6.1 If we change the cookies we use, we will update this policy and its version number, and show the cookie notice again.
6.2 Questions about cookies or your personal information go to our Information Officer at privacy@stackbou.co.za.
